Become a Member of UWC Sverige

UWC Sverige's income goes almost entirely to funding scholarships. Our only sources of income for administrative costs are membership fees and application fees. Since almost all of our work is done on a voluntary basis, we have low administrative costs. Nevertheless, it is of course not possible to reduce the costs to zero. 

Income from your membership fee is essential to cover the costs of UWC Sverige. It ensures that we can carry out the selection process, reach out to new potential students, manage the UWC Sverige alumni network and raise vital scholarship funds. Thank you for supporting us in this important work.

By joining as a member, you will also be the first to hear about our events, will receive our quarterly newsletter and be eligible to vote at our annual meeting and influence the development of the organisation.

If you are eligible for free membership but feel that you would like to contribute to UWC Sverige's activities anyway, you are more than welcome to choose the Basic or Premium level.

Free Membership

All current scholarship holders receive free membership while studying at their UWC until one year after graduation. After that, their membership will move to the Basic Level, which costs SEK 200 per year.

Basic Membership (our most popular choice!)

Are you a slightly older alumni or perhaps a parent of a scholarship holder? Then this level may be best for you. The basic level gives you the right to vote at the annual meeting. To receive in our newsletter and other mailings, you can register here.

At the 2018 annual meeting, the annual fee was set at SEK 300 (SEK 200 if you are under 25 or a full-time student).

Premium Membership

Premium membership costs SEK 400 per year and provides an extra large contribution to our activities. Thanks to our premium members, we can continue to develop our organisation.

In addition to voting rights and our gratitude, the premium level also includes a practical and environmentally friendly jute bag with our logo, if you want it. The bag is made by Westford Mill and has easy-to-grip cotton handles.

Cancel your membership

Of course, you can cancel your membership at any time. All you have to do is not send us the annual fee after the end of the year and cancel your autogiro to us if you have one set up. We do not send reminder invoices. If you want to make sure that we don't accidentally deduct money from your account, we recommend that you send an email to us at treasurer@se.uwc.org informing us that you want to cancel your membership.
